this is a stupid idea, an experienced player might make a new character and play through the game again. but due to their experience they cannot get in a group and probably know what to do more than any other player in that group, a pve exp/age emote is the stupist thing i have heard of, why do you think the level cap is 20? A-net based made it that so the game is dependent on skill NOT grinding, and dont give me fame and rank bs because that is reliant on skill not grinding, anyone who says iway will be shot....
anyways, it is a stupid idea, alienates new players, they have to get in a team to get good dont they? and if you are relying on an experience emote to choose your team mates, you need to actually grow some brains, its not hard, not hard at all to create a good Pug anything, its called whispers and team chat, question them, its for the good of the game and the good of the the team.
sorry i have bad english, and i didnt read all posts so if this has been posted sorry

Somewhere throughout the posts, it was suggested that the exp be linked to your account. That way, if you are starting a new character, but don't want to group with people still figuring our Ascalon, you can seek out other players that have played the game a few times as well.
....
I guess reading would be too much to ask, prior to responding to a thread calling it "the stupist thing i have heard of."

Perhaps, one for pre-ascention, one for 500,000 exp, 1,000,000, 2,000,000, and 5,000,000.

Absolutely. We need a /grind emote.

I would like this but... I don't want to see an alternate the situation of the rank emotes has now and getting in to parties.
Not high enough, srry try another group
Too high and your a Mo/War your a farmer and "may" switch to smite and mess with us
If an emote was vague enough (aka not that many ranks and huge ranges in scope) I might go for it but fear a situation that the rank has w/ this emote for hard missions (TK comes to mind).
If it was 0 - 1 mil = Rank level 1
1 - 2 mil = Rank level 2
Then I might consider it.

Experience farming is MUCH easier than fame farming.

Sigh, it's a PvP game, with PvE built around it! Adding a rank system to PvE would just make PvE incredibly stupid.

While an experience emote would be nice, I would imagine that it would breed elitism just like the rank emote. I could see it now...
GLF 2 monks MUST have 1mil exp, emote will be checked.
I do agree with the idea of giving emote for accomplishing certain tasks, such as completely clearing the FoW. Although any kind of emote like these will cause at least a bit of elitism.

Experience for a given character or overall experience?
And what about a factions emote?

Well, at least you have an open mind and are willing to discuss this idea in an open and constructive way.

Overall, is the best answer I think. I would even include PvP character exp if that was possible.
I just keep having better PvE experiances with hench than PuGs since every time I grab a PuG, they let me down.
The Elitism issue may be sketchy, but the group leader will be in control of that, and asking for 5 million exp is not going to be a successful grouping stragety. Even so, I would begin to believe that two highly experianced players and 6 hench could finish Hell's Precipace far easier than the standard random pug. They may even choose to use ventrilo or the other one. At the end of the day those two player were able to accomplish the goal they set out and probably had to deal with less PuG BS than if there was not some sort of Exp. Emote.
Furthermore, the highly experianced people are the ones that get the most upset due to mission mistakes. These people probably made the same mistakes 4 or 5 characters ago and EXPECT the group they are with not to make the same ones. So, the new players could deal with less elitism in that instance.
Um, Faction. I think that might be neat, but since there is a cap on the amount of faction one can earn, I would not use that as a way to judge anything. I capped faction at 85,000 when I unlocked my account. Amost all from GvG experiance. Still, I know some people are somewhere near 400,000 exp and not fully unlocked. I would suggest some sort of guage to show the percent unlocked a player is. I would even suggest some sort of grand thing for being fully unlocked, but an emote based on a number that is capped, would be odd.

I don't like this idea. All it would do is make it harder for new characters to get into groups. I don't much benefit from having it.

I think this will evolve into the same problem that rank has developed. Pick Up Groups will start using this as a measure of player "skill," even though it is more a measure of player "time played."

I'd like some sort of reward for PvE, but I already can't play in HA thanks to my chronic lack of fame. Maybe it would be better to give special emotes or whatnot for the elite missions coming out in factions?

I don't think the big farmers out there with bigger exp. ratings over 10 million will be that big a deal since they're generally not the type of people to play small side-quests or missions that don't give a lot of profit, with other people in the first place.
